“The hunter that travels out into the woods, is lost to the world, yet finds himself”.
Madoqua Safaris is situated in the Loxidonta Africana Conservancy. Because the land forms part of this conservancy, numerous free roaming wild animals wander the farm, ensuring a large diversity of animals.
Madoqua Safaris is able to supply your demand! We offer Plains Game on our own piece of land, but we are also able to accommodate Dangerous Game- and Bird hunts. Please feel free to communicate to us what your needs are, so we can create the perfect safari, because the options are endless:
- Would you like to hunt Plains Game, Dangerous Game or Birds, or a combination of the three?
- Are your interested in Plains Game hunting through rifle or bow hunting?
- Would you like to do some sight seeing at the beginning, end or in between your hunts? Would you like the excursion to be for only a day or longer? Madoqua Safaris can arrange all these activities for you. Please see the Madoqua Excursions.
- Please keep in mind that we go the extra mile to make the hunt more comfortable for ladies, younger hunters and the physically challenged.
1. Plains Game Animals
The topography of the farm; rocky terrain and Mopani plains, lends to conditions that are favorable for the following animals to occur:
- Damara Dik-Dik
- Mountain Zebra (Hartmanns’)
Because we are located so close to the Etosha National Pans, we sometimes get a visitor or two:
- Elephants may pass through
Other Plains Game:
All Plains Game can be hunted at Madoqua Safaris, including the Springbok, Giraffe, Ostrich, Impala, Blue- and Black Wildebeest, Worthog, Hartmann and Burchell Zebra, Eland, Damara Dik-Dik, Klipspringer, Steenbok, Blesbok, Oryx, Baboon, Red Hartebeest, Kudu, Waterbuck, Sable, Roan, Nyala and Tsessebe.
2. Dangerous Game
These hunts are booked at a minimum of 10- to 14 days.
Big Game, like the Elephant, Crocodile, Hippo, and Cape Buffalo is hunted in the beautiful, lush Caprivi/Zambezi, North- Eastern region of Namibia. This region is quite different from the rest of Namibia, and is surrounded by marsh lands and rivers. High rainfall and large herds of free roaming Dangerous Game give this area a very unique character.
We do our research carefully to ensure you hunt the best Big Game possible.
